Step 4.4 Sitelink Extensions
Sitelink Extensions in Google AdWords
Google's sitelink extensions help to make your ads more relevant to your customer by providing direct links to specific pages on your website.
For example, if you search for "women's blouse" in Google, here are the top results:
The first result includes sitelink extensions, pointing to pages such as 'Shop Printed T-Shirts'. The sitelinks allow customers to quickly navigate to areas of the website that are relevant to what they searched for. They also make the ad more prominent.
Sitelink Extensions in Ad Champion
Sitelink extensions are enabled by default for all Ad Champion builds.
Any ad group that is built for a category that has sub-categories will use the landing pages for those sub-categories as the sitelinks. For example, let's say your website has a category structure like this:
Ad Champion will build an ad group for 'Women'. All ads in that ad group would then have sitelinks for 'New Arrivals', 'Tops & Blouses', 'Pants & Denim' and 'Dresses & Skirts'. Here is how it looks in AdWords:
And, finally, in the Google search results.
If you do not wish to use sitelinks, you can turn it off in Ad Champion by going to the Build Settings step for your build, and unticking Sitelinks.
