Resolving Merchant Center errors
You will need to resolve any Merchant Center errors affecting your products before you are able to advertise them. There is more information available about item disapprovals for policy violations here.
Here are five common disapprovals you may see:
1. Missing or incorrect required attribute [price]
The correct price attribute has not been submitted in either your local products feed or your local products inventory feeds. You must provide a price in the correct location for every product you advertise on Google Shopping. You can find information about how to resolve this here.
2. Missing value [shipping]
Shipping rates have not been provided to Google. This is a requirement for every location and industry, and even applies to free shipping. You can find information about how to resolve this here.
3. Missing value [gtin]
A Global Trade Identification Number, or GTIN, is a globally recognised number used to identify products. It is assigned by the manufacturer. Google requires them for all new products submitted to Merchant Center. You can find information about how to resolve this here.
4. Image too small
The submitted image for a product does not meet Google's requirements. It will not be able to be used in a Shopping ad. Images are important because they help potential customers make decisions when they are browsing products online. You can find information about how to resolve this here.
5. Unavailable mobile or desktop landing page
The affected items are attached to a landing page that can't be found by Google. When users click on your ads, they expect to see a highly relevant landing page with more information about your product. You can find information about how to resolve this for desktop here and for mobile here.
If you can't find your specific disapproval in this list you can search for it on the Google Merchant Center Help website. For further assistance, contact the Dynamic Creative team at firstname.lastname@example.org or +61 8 8224 1700.
