Step 4.1 Mapping your Google Product Categories

In order to advertise a product in Google Shopping, it needs to be assigned a Google Product Category. This tells Google what the product is, helping it appear for relevant searches.

In Dynamic Creative Ad Builder this categorisation occurs in step 4 of the campaign build:

Under the Merchant Center Settings section click the settings icon next to  Merchant Center Feed Configuration

This will load the Google Shopping Mapping sheet in a popup window. This can take some time as a fresh Google Sheet is being generated each time.

Choose the most appropriate Google Product Category for each of your website categories.

Once you have mapped all categories, click save in the popup window in Ad Builder.
